Early Sunsets

After yesterdays wintry chill, today’s weather related observation is that it’s getting dark must earlier. By 8pm in fact it’s virtually all black. It just feels like winter too (I hope this doesn’t turn into a blog where I always talk about the weather!).

This got me thinking to the day when I came back from Paris in April, travelling through the quaint Somerset countryside lit by the early evening sunshine. With today’s sunshine, I remember it being an evening similar to todays. I had the whole summer ahead of me in April and now it’s all past. It was a good summer though and had many good times with friends.

It will come again, sooner than I think I’m sure.
